Expressing Relief and Pain

1.1   Merespon makna dalam percakapan transaksional (to get things done) dan interpersonal (bersosialisasi)  resmi dan berlanjut (sustained) secara akurat, lancar, dan berterima yang menggunakan ragam bahasa lisan dalam konteks  kehidupan sehari-hari dan melibatkan tindak tutu: menasehati, memperingatkan, meluluskan permintaan, serta menyatakan perasaan relief, pain, dan pleasure

 

 

Expressing Relief and Pain

When we have problem in our life. than we can solve it, we will feel relief. In other situation, when we feel worried about something that we will face, and than we can face it. We will also feel relief. A relief is lessening or ending of pain and worry.  
Ketika kita memiliki masalah, kemudian kita dapat menyelesaikan nya, kita akan merasa lega. Dalam situasi lain, ketika kita merasa khawatir tentang sesuatu yang kita hadapi, dan kemudian kita dapat menghadapi itu, kita juga akan merasa lega. Relief mengurangi atau mengakhiri rasa sakit dan khawatir.

EXPRESSING PAIN 

When we get sick, we must feel pain on parts of our body. When we get accident, and we get injured because of it, we must feel pain. 

Ketika kita sakit, tentu pasti kita akan merasakan sakit pada anggota badan kita, ungkin kepala, perut, gigi dan lain-lain. Atau ketika kita mendapat musibah berupa jatuh atau kecelakaan dan kita terluka. Kita pasti merasakan sakit. Dalam bahasa inggris ada ungkapan yang biasa digunakan untuk mengungkapkan rasa sakit, yaitu sebagai berikut:

  • Ouch! That was hurt
  • It is painful
  • It hurts me
  • I’ve got a backache/toothache/stomachache
  • I feel sore all over
  • My eyes hurt
  • My body aches./My muscles ache.
  • Oh, it’s killing me!
  • Ouch! It hurts me so much.
  • Ouch! Stop pinching me.-
  • Oh! What shall I do if he’s already married?
  • Ooh! My head aches! And my back hurts!
  • Ah! What is it?- Ouch! That hurts!
  • Aw! The pain hurts me very much.
  • It’s very painful. I can’t stand it.
  • I can’t stand it. The pain is getting worse and worse

Dialog 1
Bisrin : “I’m very worried that it will be rain tomorrow, I don’t have an umbrella.”
Gomar : “Don’t worry, it will be sunny tomorrow. I saw the weather forecast for tomorrow, and it will turn
out good.
Bisrin : “Oh, what’s a relief.”

Dialog 2
Satim : “Ouch!”  aduuh!!
Armin: “What’s up, tim?”
Satim : “I have a headache.”
Armin: “Poor you. I think you should take an aspirin.”
Satim : “Yes, you are right. But I don’t have an aspirin. Can you buy me in the drugstore?”
Armin  : “All right. Wait a minute.”
Satim : “Thanks armin.”
Armin:  “You are welcome.”
